Funeral services are set for Civil Rights Pioneer James Hood.
Visitation will be Wednesday at 6:00pm at the Sweet Home United Methodist Church in Gadsden.
Hood's funeral will be at 11:00 Thursday morning at First United Methodist Church.
Hood died in his hometown of Gadsden last week. He was one of two African American students who attempted to enroll at The University of Alabama in June 1963.
It's when Governor George Wallace made his infamous stand in the schoolhouse door.
The two men met decades later. Wallace asked for forgiveness, Hood said he had given it to him long ago.
