Meeting to discuss the future of Trussville Schools on hold

A special called meeting to discuss the future of the Trussville School System and Superintendent Suzanne Freeman was postponed Wednesday morning. Earlier this week, the Board announced that Freeman was leaving. {}The Trussville Board of Education President said the high turnover rate of principals at Hewitt-Trussville High School was part of the decision to end the contract with Freeman.

Board members were expected to discuss her removal at Wednesday's meeting.{} A note was posted on the door of the Board of Education building notifying the public of the meeting change.{} According to the note, "The agenda will not include the discussion or approval of the agreement with the superintendent.{} Logistics today prevented finalizing the agreement.{} There will be an additional Called Meeting with the required 24 hours' notice when the agreement is ready for discussion and approval."{}
