Gadsden man indicted for capital murder in daughter's death

A Gadsden man has been indicted by an Etowah County Grand Jury for capital murder.{}

Stephon Lindsey, 35, was indicted in the death of his 21-month-old daughter, Maliyah.{} District attorney, Jimmie Harp, says Lindsey will be arraigned next month. He is currently being held at the Etowah County Detention Center without bail.

Maliyah Lindsey died of blunt force trauma in March.{} The young child's body was found in a wooded area just outside of Gadsden after being reported missing for six days.{} Reports show that Lindsey had been cut with a knife or a sword.
