Gadsden man removes bullet from stomach

A Gadsden man is being called one tough dude after police say he removed a bullet from his own stomach.

Investigators say a 35-year-old man accidentally shot himself inside a house in the 200 block of North 3rd Street in East Gadsden early Saturday morning. The man, along with witnesses, told police that after a night of partying at local nightclubs everyone was talking about going to the shooting range the next day. The man took out his pistol and started spinning it around on his finger, and the gun went off. He shot himself through the stomach. The man told police he could feel the bullet under his skin so he took out a knife and cut it out. Friends convinced him to go to Gadsden Regional for treatment.
