In June, Gadsden police arrested a 24-year-old man and five women in connection with an internet prostitution ring.
Daniel Martin Oravet was arrested June 19 and charged with second-degree promoting prostitution. He has since been released on $25,000 bond. It's unknown at this time if Oravet has hired an attorney.
Using online advertisements to attract customers, women would meet men for sex. According to police, Oravet would arrange dates, times and locations of the meetings and occasionally drove the women to meet their clients.
Police expect to make more arrests in the case as an investigation remains ongoing.
