Gadsden woman charged in fatal stabbing of 52-year-old boyfriend
GADSDEN - AL —
Gadsden police have announced charges following Friday's deadly stabbing on #9 Dwight Avenue.
Police arrived to find 52-year-old Robert Culverson dead inside a house. He had one stab wound in his chest near his heart. Police say his girlfriend, 50-year-old Peggy Martin and two neighbors were sitting on the front porch of the house when they arrived. The neighbors told police Martin came to their house and asked them to come and check on Culverson because she had stabbed him.
Martin was arrested for murder and taken to the Etowah County jail. She has a $100,000 cash bond. Culverson's body was sent to Huntsville for an autopsy.
