Gambling machines confiscated in Walker County

Law enforcement officers have confiscated 60 electronic gambling devices after serving search warrants at Arrow Head Golf Course in Jasper and at a house with blackened windows in the Walker County town of Nauvoo. A 9 mm automatic gun and an undisclosed amount of cash were confiscated. No arrests have been made.

Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange and Walker County District Attorney Bill Adair said the operation was conducted Wednesday morning by the attorney general's office, the Walker County district attorney's office and Walker County sheriff's deputies. Strange said the operation was part of a continuing investigation of possible illegal gambling activities in Walker County.
