Gas prices fall in Birmingham, but not by much

One penny isn't a lot, but at least gas prices in the Birmingham area fell by that much last week.

Triple A's fuel gauge report shows the average in Alabama is $3.51 a gallon.{} That's 30 cents less than the national average.

In California, however, filling up is a nightmare!{} Gasoline there now averages $4.66 a gallon, and many areas are paying over $5{}dollars.{} That is the highest in the nation.

Sen.{}Dianne Feinstein (D-California) has called for a federal investigation into the pricing.{} She doesn't think the cost is related to supply and demand.
