Get a deal from state's surplus auction

Do you consider yourself a bargain shopper?{} Even if you aren't typically searching for great deals, now may be the time to get one through the Alabama surplus property auction.{} You can look now at some of the options for sale, like vehicles, computers, office furniture and supplies or even ping-pong tables.{} The auction begins Wednesday morning at 8:00.{} The Surplus Property Division of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs is hosting the auction at its warehouse at 4590 Mobile Highway in Montgomery. From 8:00 a.m. until all 434 item lots are sold, the auction will be underway.{} The items are property no longer needed by state and federal agencies and items abandoned by airline passengers at several airports in the southeast.{} ADECA conducts periodic public auctions, but surplus items are available at any time to city and county governments, state agencies, veterans' service groups and other qualified nonprofit organizations.To bid, you will need a photo ID and social security number or federal employee ID.
