Glencoe man charged with felony for allegedly threatening to shoot Hokes Bluff police officer

ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. -- A Glencoe man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot a police officer, Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin said.Floyd Isaac Vaughn, 58, is charged with one felony count of making a terrorist threat in connection with an incident on May 25. According to Entrekin, Vaughn told a Hokes Bluff police officer that he didn't appreciate the way a Glencoe police officer had spoken to him during a previous run-in with the authorities and he was going to shoot the officer the next time he encountered him.Vaughn, who was arrested by Entrekin during a traffic stop earlier today, is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.
