Grandmother charged with kidnapping in abduction of Fairfield boy
FAIRFIELD, Alabama -- The woman who allegedly abducted her 9-year-old grandson from his home in Fairfield last weekend is now facing a kidnapping charge, police confirmed to ABC 33/40.
Tonja Felix, 53, is charged with one count of second-degree kidnapping in connection with the Aug. 30 abduction of Rhashud Felix, according to the Fairfield Police Department.

Tonja Felix, who has yet to be arrested, is accused of taking the boy and driving him to her home in Prichard, which is in Mobile County. Not long after an Amber Alert was issued, Prichard police located the woman and her grandson, who was placed into DHR custody while authorities continued an investigation. Tonja Felix was questioned by police and later released.
