A groundbreaking will be held Friday at 10:30a.m. for the new $16.5 million Homewood Community Center. Remarks will be made by the Mayor, Chairman of the Parks & Recreation Board, and the Director of the Parks & Recreation Board. This new facility will replace the old community center adding new fitness amenities, state-of-the-art equipment, additional parking spaces, and a new 25-yard competition pool and water playground pool.
The New Community Center is designed to be more energy efficient through utilization of natural light and implementation of improved climate control systems. Davis Architects is the designer on this project.
