Haley joined the ABC 3340 team in July, 2011 as a reporter determined to make a lasting difference in the community.
Before moving to Birmingham, Haley reported for the FOX affiliate in Jackson, MS where she covered everything from local and state politics to the aftermath of a violent tornado that traveled from Louisiana to Alabama and left a deadly path of destruction. Her award-winning investigation into the use of taxpayer money for the financing of county tornado sirens helped pave the way for transparency.
In 2008, Haley earned a master's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. Part of her requirements included covering politics in Washington D.C. for television stations across the nation. She also covered the latest business trends on Wall Street for various newspapers throughout the Chicago area. She earned her bachelors degree from the University of Georgia in 2007.
When she's not telling your stories, Haley enjoys playing violin in a local community orchestra and volunteering with animal rescue organizations. She would love to hear your story ideas, so please drop her a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
