Healthy insurance companies to pay you back

How's this for unusual?{} You could soon be getting some money back from your health insurance company.

The Department of Health and Human Services announced insurers will be handing back a billion dollars to 12.8 million customers this summer.{} On average, each family is expected to get 151 dollars.{}{}

The rebates are a part of the 2010 health reform law.{} It requires insurers to reimburse policyholders if they use your premiums to boost company profits instead of paying for medical care.

The companies must return the money to customers by August 1st.{}{} It's unclear if they will still have to pay up if the Supreme Court rules against the health care reform law.
