Heflin police: North Carolina man arrested with over 8 pounds of marijuana

HEFLIN, Alabama -- A North Carolina man was arrested Monday after Heflin police found over eight pounds of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop. Steve Biko Lufuluabo, 35, was pulled over on Interstate 20 near mile marker 199. Officers became suspicious of the man and requested assistance from an Oxford Police Department K-9 unit. Police later discovered 8.4 pounds of weed in the suspect's 2014 Ford Fusion.

Lufuluabo was booked into the Cleburne County Jail on one count of first-degree possession of marijuana.
