HIV Test at Home

You may soon be able to test yourself for HIV and quickly learn the results in the privacy of your own home.

{}This word comes as{}a Food and Drug Administration advisory committee gives its{} unanimous{} {}recommendation{} Tuesday.

The test would be the first over the counter test to be marketed for HIV or any infectious disease.

An estimated 1.2 million Americans are living with HIV, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

One in five of them are unaware of their{}HIV status.

And about 50,000 new cases of HIV are reported each year.
