Homicide detectives hunt for missing shooting victim

Tuscaloosa's homicide unit is trying to solve a shooting, but now their victim is missing.{} Homicide investigators responded to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa around 9:30 p.m. May 20.{} A 30-year-old man showed up to the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the back.{} The victim claimed he was riding through University Manor when an unknown subject shot at his vehicle. The victim drove to his house and had a family member take him to the ER.However, earlier Monday evening, police also responded to a fight at the Walmart, where the victim was possibly involved, according to Tuscaloosa Police.{} We're told the victim would give very little information.{} Investigators processed the scene and interviewed witnesses.{} When investigators returned to the ER to ask the victim a few more questions, we're told he was gone.{} The victim got up and walked out before they arrived. Investigators tried to make contact with the victim, but were unsuccessful, according to TPD.{} The case is pending further investigation.
