Hoover High student arrested after injuring female classmate with knife
A 16-year-old Hoover High School student has been charged with second-degree domestic violence and possession of a deadly weapon with intent to do bodily harm after wounding a female classmate in the leg during an altercation on Tuesday.
The male student arrested reportedly was armed with a small knife at school and caused a "minor injury" to the female's leg during the incident at the school. The victim was checked by school nurses and cleared to return to class.
The suspect was taken into custody by Hoover High School Resource Officers and is currently being held at the Jefferson County Family Court.
