The city of Hoover has a new miracle.
Mayor Gary Ivey and city council members met, Sunday afternoon, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Hoover Sports Park East for the new Miracle League Field.
The baseball field is covered with a rubber material, which makes it safer to use by children and adults who have various disabilities.
"This is a great addition to our city," Hoover Mayor, Gary Ivey, said. "It truly adds to the quality of life of not only our city, but surrounding cities."
Work on the baseball field began two years ago. Plans are also calling for a playground, which is expected to be built next to the ball field.
