Hoover's Marlon Humphrey earns high school All-America honor
Marlon Humphrey will officially start his senior season with the Hoover Bucs later this month.
But Humphrey is also part of another team: the USA Today preseason high school All-America team.
He's the only player from Alabama on the roster.
Humphrey is rated as a five-star defensive back prospect and was named the defensive MVP of the Rivals Five-Star Challenge which was held in Chicago earlier this summer.
Humphrey has not made his college choice although it's believed that he favors the Crimson Tide. His father Bobby was a star running back at Alabama in the 1980s. Humphrey has also visited Florida State and Mississippi State, and may be planning a recruiting trip to South Carolina.
Humphrey is also a standout track athlete and plans to compete in both sports at the college level.
