The BBVA Compass Bowl was going on in Birmingham, Saturday.
The game brought in Houston and Vanderbilt fans from across the United States and is proving to be a big economic boost for The Magic City.
In 2013, the bowl game brought in more than $21 million for Birmingham.
Friday night there were many activities going on promoting the event, including a street party, a rib eating contest, concerts and pep rallies.
Organizers anticipate there were at least 50,000 people at Saturday's game.
"We're glad to be here playing against a good team," Houston fan, Eduardo Elizondo, said. "We feel very welcomed by the city of Birmingham."
Vanderbilt beat Houston 41-24.
