Hueytown brothers indicted for sex crimes

Two brothers from Hueytown have been indicted for violent sex crimes in a cold case. Thirty-two year old Jason Lee Campbell and 37 year old David Wesley Campbell each face charges of first-degree kidnapping, first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree robbery and attempted murder.

Attorney General Luther Strange said the crimes were committed in November, 2009. The victim was a 40 year old woman attacked in the 200 block of Eureka Place in Hueytown.

Both defendants are in the Jefferson county jail. The charges against the Campbell's are a result of an investigation by the attorney general's Cold Cast Unit.{} If convicted, the defendants face penalties of life imprisonment for each count with which they are charged
