Hundreds of walkers and runners braved the cold and rain, Saturday, for the Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis.
Competitors raised money by running or walking a 5K route in downtown Birmingham. The race started at Railroad Park.
Many participants wore holiday costumes and tied jingle bells to their shoe laces.
Race organizers project that the run will raise thousands of dollars to support local arthritis programs, services and research.
ABC 33/40 was a sponsor of the event.
