Police say the man who shot and injured a Huntsville Police officer is dead.
The officer was responding to a domestic dispute call on Stanford Drive just after 1:00 a.m. Friday. The suspect barricaded himself inside the home and fired several shots at responding law enforcement officers. About a dozen shots were fired and the police officer was hurt. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
The identity of the suspect has not been released. It is unclear if police shot him.
