Jacksonville State enters top 25 while Samford falls out

Jacksonville State is in the FCS Top 25.

Samford is not.

JSU (8-2, 4-2 OVC) finds itself ranked in both polls after it's 68-10 win over Eastern Kentucky. The Gamecocks are ranked No. 22 in the Sports Network poll and No. 23 in the FCS Coaches poll.

JSU plays at No. 2 Eastern Illinois this weekend.

Samford dropped out of both polls after this weekend's loss at Furman. The Bulldogs (6-4, 4-2 SoCon) have lost back to back games for this first time this season but can stay in the Southern Conference title race with a win over Chattanooga this weekend.

The Mocs are ranked No. 17 in the Sports Network poll and No. 18 in the coaches poll.

Samford and Chattanooga are scheduled for Saturday at noon at Seibert Stadium.
