Jasper man, 57, killed after his pickup truck crashes into ditch near Cordova

WALKER COUNTY, Ala. -- A Jasper man was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Cordova Monday night, Alabama State Troopers said today.

Jack Butler, 57, died shortly after 9 p.m. after the Chevrolet pickup truck he was driving left Old Birmingham Highway and crashed into a ditch. The accident occurred around six miles north of Cordova. According to state troopers, Butler wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

An investigation remains ongoing.
