It is two down and three finalists to go for the Jefferson county board of education. This week, the board is interviewing five candidates for the district's new superintendent. Dr. Phil Hammonds will retire in February.
This afternoon at 2:00, Dale Robbins will be interviewed. Robbins recently retired as associate superintendent of Gwinnett County, Georgia.
The interviews are open to the public. A public reception immediately follows.
The board expects to make an offer to one of the finalists in early October.
