Jefferson County has its share of financial woes, including experiencing the largest county bankruptcy in the country.
Members of the county's delegation and the Birmingham Business Alliance met Wednesday to discuss the impact the crisis has had on the area's economic growth.
BBA President Brian Hilson says, so far, no investors or companies have turned away because of the problems. In fact, Hilson says the industrial and business sectors remain active. However, in all talks, BBA remains upfront about the financial climate.
The group also talked about the mining and data processing tax incentive bills that passed last legislative session, as well as bills they plan to discuss in the upcoming session.
