Jefferson County Deputy remembered, buried, Thursday
HUEYTOWN - AL —
It was a sad day for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Thursday, as coworkers said goodbye to one of their own.
Friends, family and coworkers packed inside the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Hueytown, Thursday, to remember the life of Det. Brad Perry.
Perry died from injuries following an ATV accident this past weekend in Jefferson County.
Chief Deputy Randy Christian says Perry was the type of person you wanted to be around and work with.
"He's a man's man," Christian said. "But with the heart of a teddy bear. And, in law enforcement, that's the kind of man you want. He's equipped to deal with just about anything and we encounter everything. He's going to be missed. He left us way too soon."
Perry's funeral was at 1:00 p.m. Perry was buried at Smithville Baptist Church Cemetery in Oak Grove.
