Deputies in Jefferson County say a father-son duo lassoed a car burglary suspect Wednesday morning.
Sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 5700 block of Grove Circle in Sylvan Springs to investigate a vehicle break-in.
The victim told deputies he had been alerted by his father that an unknown man had been seen walking toward his home. He looked out to see the interior light on in his wife's car. He went outside and confronted the man who tried to run, but the victim caught him.
With the help of his father, the victim secured the suspect with rope until deputies arrived. Police arrested Kristopher Charles Robey, 31, of Mulga. Investigators learned he had entered the car and taken loose change.
Robey has been charged with one count of third-degree unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, third-degree theft of property and third-degree criminal trespassing. He is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
