Jefferson County Schools outline plan to make up missed days during Winter storms

Jefferson County Schools are formulating the plan to make up missed days during Winter weather.{}

It's re-focusing on the needed standards for the remainder of the school year.{}

Curriculum and Instruction Content Supervisors will offer webinars for teachers on Monday, February 24 to address pacing guides.{}

Revisions will address identifying critical standards as well as condensing and integrating the delivery of standards into concepts so that the critical standards can be met.{}

A revised pacing guide for math will be posted on the system website.

In order to keep from changing student routines, assessment windows and grading periods will not be changed.{}

The district says it will modify next year's school calendar to include several weather days in case this happens again.
