Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said he's interested in playing UAB.
The Blazers are game too.
UAB coach Jerod Haase told AL.com that they have inquired about the possibility of playing Auburn next season, perhaps at BJCC Arena.
"We would love it," Haase told AL.com. "I've read some of the comments from Coach Pearl and it's the same thing we're trying to do in terms of a neutral site game and trying to play a high-level RPI opponent."
Pearl spoke about his interest of playing games in Birmingham and Atlanta on the radio this week. He believes neutral site games is the best way for Auburn to schedule quality opponents.
Auburn basketball hasn't played a game in Birmingham since 2007 and has played just eight in the city in the last 24 years.
