Records show that a private jet that crashed into a hangar at a Southern California airport is owned by a company with offices in Atlanta and Birmingham, Ala.
Authorities said they did not expect to find any survivors from the flight from Idaho, which ran off the runway Sunday night at Santa Monica Municipal Airport and crashed into a storage hangar. The impact caused the hangar to collapse in flames around the jet.
Federal Aviation Administration records show that the Cessna 525A is registered to a Malibu, Calif. address and its corporate owner, Creative Real Estate Exchange, has offices in Birmingham and Atlanta.
Investigators have been unable to determine how many people were aboard the twin-engine Cessna Citation, which is designed to hold eight passengers and two crew members.
