JSU's Bill Clark will interview for UAB opening

Jacksonville State coach Bill Clark will reportedly interview with UAB about it's head coaching job Friday morning in Atlanta.

Clark is a JSU graduate and helped the Gamecocks to the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs last season, which was his first year as a college head coach.

Clark served as defensive coordinator at South Alabama from 2008-2012 and before that he was the head coach at Prattville High School.

The Lions won the Class 6A state championship in 2006 and 2007.

The Blazers coaching search appears to be picking up, with two candidates scheduled to interview on Thursday and three more set for Friday.

Cincinnati offensive coordinator Eddie Gran, Bethune Cookman head coach Brian Jenkins, Atlanta Falcons assistant Chris Scelfo and former Wake Forest head coach Jim Grobe will also interview with UAB.
