JUCO guard T.J. Dunans commits to Auburn

      Auburn basketball has scored one of the top offensive threats in junior college basketball.

      Columbia (Tenn.) State Community College guard T.J. Dunans committed on Monday, the third player to announce he'll play for the Tigers in the last four days.

      The 6-foot-5, 184 pound shooting guard averaged 22.8 points last season at CSCC. He scored 52 points in a loss to Vincennes in the NJCAA Tournament.

      Dunans commitment comes after 4-star small forward Danjel Purifoy and 4-star forward Horace Spencer committed over the weekend.

      Purifoy and Spencer are both Top 100 prospect according to all of the major recruiting services.

      Dunans chose Auburn over offers from West Virginia, Penn State and Cincinnati.{}

      Auburn's momentum is likely a tie-in to head coach Bruce Pearl's ability to once again hit the recruiting trail. Pearl's show-cause penalty, put in place by the NCAA three year's ago, was lifted on Sunday morning at 12:01 which allows Pearl the ability to be in direct contact recruits during open periods.
