Judge allows ex-Alabama player to leave state

A judge has cleared the way for former University of Alabama football player, D.J. Pettway, to go to school in Mississippi while charged with robbery in Tuscaloosa County.{} A district court judge granted permission at the request of a lawyer for the player, who is free on bond.{} Crimson Tide coach, Nick Saban, dismissed Pettway and three other players from the team in February after they were charged in alleged robberies in Tuscaloosa.{} While a lawyer for the player sought permission for Pettway to attend school in Mississippi, he did not specify which college.{} The 18-year-old former linebacker is facing two counts of second degree robbery.{}
