      Jury convicts Montgomery man in Anniston murder

      A Calhoun County jury has returned a guilty verdict{}in the murder case{}Robert Jenkins. Jurors agreed the Montgomery man shot{}and killed Marcus Marks last March.{} His body was found with two gun shots to the back in an apartment in the 200 block of E.22 St after what was described,at the time, as a drive-by shooting.

      Jenkins was in Anniston for a party, an event the victim also attended. According{} District{}Attorney Brian McVeigh, witnesses testified that the shooting took place as the victim's girlfriend moved out his home.{} McVeigh says Jenkins, using a .9mm rifle shot an unarmed Marks.

      District Attorney Brian McVeigh says sentencing is set for October 5th.
