Kareem Canty decides to stick with Auburn basketball

AUBURN - AL — Former Marshall basketball star Kareem Canty has reestablished with commitment to the Auburn Tigers.It may be the end of a wild five weeks in which Canty was committed to transfer to Auburn, then South Florida, before deciding to stick with Auburn."My heart was in Auburn and I just couldn't turn down playing for Coach Pearl in the SEC," Canty told ESPN.Canty will have to sit out the 2014-15 season. He has three year's of eligibility remaining.He's the fourth player to commit to the Auburn program under new coach Bruce Pearl. Junior college transfer Cinmeon Bowers, New Mexico State transfer K.C. Ross-Miller and McGill-Toolen player T.J. Lang will be eligible to play next season.Canty averaged 16.3 points and 5.5 assists for Marshall last season.
