Lifepointe Church of God holds dedication service after April 2011 tornado

Lifepointe Church of God held a dedication service{}Sunday to commit and devote the new building to the work of God. This comes after the April 2011 tornado ripped through their old church known as Alberta Church of God.

Governor Robert Bentley attended the dedication service and preached out of the book of James where it's says to count it all joy when trials come into our lives. "What that does is strengthens our faith and makes us stronger," says Bentley.

He says progress in our state is successful and that this has been the largest rebuilding project since the Civil War.

Pastor Jeremy Griffith says plans to put a community storm shelter have been mentioned, but it may take some time.
