Man arrested for receiving stolen property in exchange for meth

DeKalb County Drug Task Force agents and Sheriff's Office investigators have made an arrest in a theft-for-drugs case.{}

Johnny Dewayne Croley, 36, faces several counts of receiving stolen property after investigators went to Croley's residence, located on County Road 3 in the Whiton community, and conducted a search.{} Several items were seized after Croley admitted to taking them in exchange for methamphetamine.{}

Stolen property included power tools, a ZERO-turn lawn mower and drive on trailer, Bobcat loader with two attachments, a 2008 Chevrolet 3500 truck, two fuel tanks and 187 new cross-ties.{} The total value of items is approximately $800,000.{}

Croley was out on bond for receiving stolen property charges in February.{} That bond has been revoked.{} He is currently being held at the DeKalb County Detention Center pending court action.
