Man charged in shooting of apartment manager

Birmingham Police have charged 72-year old Clifford Cook with Attempted Murder.

Police say Cook turned himself in to the city jail shortly after he opened fire inside an the office of the Four Winds West Apartments in West End.{} That complex is in the 1300 block of Monore Avenue.

The shooting happened around 10:00am.

Cook was reportedly evicted from his unit on Thursday.{} He is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $60,000 bond.

As for the victim, her name has not been released.{} No word on her condition.
