Man found dead from apparent gunshot wound inside Locust Fork home


BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. - The Blount County Sheriff's Office is trying to find out what prompted a deadly shooting.

It happened inside a house in the Locust Fork community. "They're just documenting the scene."Tawbush Road, a quiet road, very busy Wednesday afternoon as investigators looked for answers.Chief Deputy William Ferry with the Blount County Sheriff's Office says,{} "Were collecting any evidence that might be pertinent to the case."A neighbor calls this scene, tragic.The Blount County Sheriff's Office got a call about a shooting around 3 o'clock. "We felt like this was a domestic situation earlier in the day."Chief Deputy Ferry says several people were inside this house when a 34-year-old man was shot and killed."There are some people that were here on the scene that have been questioned at this time."Deputies have not released details about the shooting, but say they're treating the case as a homicide until all the evidence is gathered.Ferry says, "No one has been arrested. We have no one in custody at this time. It's too early at this point to act on anything like that."Investigators could not tell us if the man lived at the house. His family would not talk.
