TUSCALOOA COUNTY - AL — Tuscaloosa police have charged a 21-year-old man with rape after they say they found him with a missing juvenile. On Sunday, Tuscaloosa police responded to a call in the 4700 block of McFarland Boulevard regarding a 14-year-old female that was missing out of Mississippi. Police had received information from a family member the missing teenager might be at this location. When they arrived, officers made contact with the teenager and investigation began. Probable cause was found to arrest 21-year-old Kornelius Pierre Simmons with rape second-degree. He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County jail on $30,000 bond. Investigators are still looking into this case. They say there is a possibility there could be more state or federal charges filed against Simmons.
