Man sentenced to 25 years in barbecue shooting


A shooting at a neighborhood barbecue lands a man with a 25-year prison sentence.Tanrrance Maurice Landrum, 24, was convicted of first degree assault in January for shooting and injuring a 13-year-old boy at a barbecue. He was sentenced on Wednesday.Witnesses testified that Landrum shot the boy, who is now 14-years-old, in his back and arm as the teenager was leaving the barbecue with his family. Investigators have said Landrum had a fight with the teen's cousin before the shooting. {}However it remained unclear if the teen was the intended target.Landrum's attorney, Susan Henderson, says her client plans to file an appeal.
