McAdory's Cory Thomas is not staying in the state but he will remain in SEC Country for college.
The Yellow Jacket's star defensive lineman committed to Tennessee last week. He made his college decision official Monday afternoon.
Jeff Sentell of the Alabama Media Group was the first to have the story.
Thomas is a 3-star prospect and has been told by the Vols that he will play defensive end in college. He was named to the Class 5A All-State team by the sports writers association last season.
He picked Tennessee over Mississippi State and Clemson. Thomas says he also had interest from Alabama and Auburn.
Thomas and McAdory host Pinson Valley in the second round of the Class 5A playoffs. Kickoff is scheduled for Friday night at 7 at McAdory Stadium.
