Greg McElroy will not start in the Jets season finale against Buffalo{}because the quarterback is suffering from concussion-like symptoms.

The former Alabama quarterback did not disclose the lingering concussion symptoms to the team until Thursday, which is five days after he was sacked 11 times in New York's 27-17 loss to San Diego.

McElroy was lifting weights at the team facility when he began to struggle with headaches and dizziness.

Coach Rex Ryan says Mark Sanchez will start for the Jets against Buffalo. Sanchez started the first 14 games before he was benched in favor of McElroy before last week's game.
