Men charged in Center Point Murder

Jeremy Dewayne Bell of Center Point, 18, and Demario Jones of Grayson Valley, 23, are facing capital murder charges in the June 14 shooting death of Larrice Bryant.{}

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office detectives say Bell and Jones met Bryant and his father in the 1900 block of Center Point Road to sell them marijuana.{} Bryant and his father were inside Bryant's truck.{} Investigators say Bell and Jones got inside the truck and Bryant's father jumped out of the vehicle.{} There was a gun battle inside the truck as it drove through the northwest side of Center Point. Bryant shot one of the suspects in the hand and he was shot and killed. The vehicle stopped in the 1600 block of 6th Place NW and the suspects fled on foot.

Jones was found Saturday morning hiding in his girlfriend's apartment with a gunshot injury to the hand.{} Bell's mother surrendered him to detectives Saturday afternoon.{} Both suspects are in the Jefferson County Jail charged with Capital Murder and are being held under no bond.
