A Montgomery man has been charged with driving under the influence and manslaughter in connection with the death of an Oklahoma State student on spring break in Gulf Shores, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office.

Justin Lott, 29, was arrested early Thursday morning after he allegedly hit and killed 19-year-old Kasey Waychoff, of Flower Mound, Tex. Waychoff was walking along Beach Boulevard around 1:45 a.m. when she was struck. She was later pronounced dead at South Walton Regional Medical Center.

After hitting Waychoff, Lott continued driving before being stopped by a sheriff's deputy a short time later, at which time he admitted to drinking alcohol and arrested. He is currently being held without bond at the Baldwin County Correctional Facility.
