More adults walk for fitness

More Americans are walking regularly to get in shape, but we need to pick up the pace.{}That's according to findings released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. {}Sixty-two percent of adults say they walked at least 10 minutes or more a week in 2010. {}That's up six percent from 2005.{}

However, even with the gains in walking, only 48 percent of U.S. adults gets enough exercise to improve their health. {}The CDC recommends at least two-and-a-half hours of "moderate to intense aerobic physical activity" each week.{}
