More than 30 animals rescued after owner commits suicide

Friends say{}Dani McClain{}was in a state of depression and that nearby neighbors complained about her pets running loose in the area.

Members of rescue groups say the goal is to make sure the animals get proper medical attention first, then replace the pets with good parents.

Debbie Cousins with Missing Link Rescue says, "We usually come in if there if it's an unexpected death, we'll come in and place the animals in another home."

If you're interested in adopting one of the pets or even donating, you're encouraged to call "Missing Link Rescue" at (205) 914-4888.
